MANAGING AND OVERCOMING FATIGUE

MANAGING AND OVERCOMING FATIGUE
Fatigue is a subject that is challenging to many people. It is hard thing to define because it can be different for each person. According to the results of certain studies, fatigue is perplexing because it can accompany many different physical conditions, and it also can be related to so many things such as anxiety, depression, not enough or too much sleep, lack of or too much exercise, and/or stress.
A doctor will usually try to be a detective, seeking out as much information about your symptoms and medical history as possible, then following leads and exploring possibilities. The doctor may uncover a medical disorder such as a thyroid imbalance, anemia, depression, or diabetes. If no specific illness is found, your doctor may recommend these things to managing your fatigue:
Exercise is an extremely important factor. You should start of slowly, but steadily. Start slowly, so you don't increase your fatigue, and try to build up to 20 to 30 minutes of continual activity per day. Don’t do too much too soon, just work at your own pace until you build up to 30 mins.
Try to learn and incorporate various stress-reduction techniques into your day, such as deep breathing or meditation.
Things won’t change overnight try to plan and maintain a manageable and even pace. Set priorities and manage your time and energy efficiently.
Another obviously important factor is too practice good sleep habits. Establish a schedule for going to bed. Don’t watch TV or Read, interruptions will interfere with your schedule, keep the bed for sleeping. Limit naps; don't take work to bed; don't consume caffeine too late in the afternoon (from coffee, teas, colas, or chocolate); and maintain a firm time for going to bed and waking up.
The body also needs to be running properly, it needs good fuel. Eat a healthy balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Don't fill up on high-fat, processed or sugary foods, which tend to make you feel sluggish. Junk food slows the metabolism down and sugar will give some instant energy then burn off and crash and make you feel even worse.
Remember, you weren't always tired all the time. Whether you have an underlying medical condition or an overwhelming busy life, these things can cause your fatigue, practical strategies incorporating exercise diet and sleep and will certainly help improve your energy levels.
